Forget Those Enter Buttons Bird Bowl Decided To Exit Homestead, No Family Fun On The Horizon

Citing costs, sources in Homestead have verified that Bird Bowl has withdrawn it's intention to operate the South Dixie Highway facility. We have also learned that the facility has been vandalized for scrap metal, wiring and other salvageable materials. Too bad, the community suffers as another activity designed for family and social entertainment goes down to economic viability.

with the medicinal marijuana craze seemingly sweeping the country maybe Homestead should step into the vanguard and become the first municipality in the USA to legalize medicinal crack; then we can raise revenue by turning the Seminole Theater and the Bowling Alley into city franchised medicinal crack clinics and raise much needed revenue.

Trump and Bowling projects down the drain. What is going on down here. We want Homestead to grow i think some people are greedy that is why. Don't try to sell the bowling alley like it was 1984 dont ask for damn too much money.

We need to send some of our rep down here to other places so that they can learn how to run a city the proper way.

come on

seriously

did anyone expect otherwise?

Why would the City cater to a non insider who can actually create jobs & family entertainment!

It should have been within Homestead Main street for $1 rent AND part of the Seminole theater forever needing work AND CRA funding!

The irony and backwardness of this rinky dinky town are quite funny.

It's too bad the voters don't actually show up and vote these clowns out all of them because it will remain forever a piggy bank for some and a losing venture for just about everyone else.

As for the bowling center ,demolish the worthless structure and build a decent strip mall with shadow anchor store. on the other hand the seminole theatre should become a high end adult entertainment facility.

To the comment at 10:48 - agree on the adult entertainment, just laughing too loudly with it's location so close to the PD and the fact there's absolutely nothing high end anywhere in homestead.

Thanks for the visions of what could be and how many prostitutes we'd clear off of mowry or lucy streets to work there. Hey it could be the new job creator here! In fact we could probably re coup some of the money already poured in to the pockets of so many involved in the seminole whatever it is because its not a theater.

As someone who has an intimate working knowledge of how Rok Enterprises is run, I could have told you this was never going to happen. It was bad business in 2007 why I advised against it, and it is most certainly bad business now.
