Election Poll - Thanks for voting! Our poll has always been 100% wrong. Hope so again!

Let's hope it's right. So let me get a few things straight.

You don't believe that someone who puts themselves say though medical school, survives internship and residency, deserves to live any better than someone who dropped out of school and CHOOSES not to work.

You believe that above mentioned graduate deserves to pay 50% of their income versus the 35% they now pay to allow said dropout to live next door to them supported by the government.

You don't believe that above mentioned graduate deserves to have a nice home, car and enjoy a really nice dinner out once a week after spending 12-16 hours a day saving lives versus watching TV.

You don't care that above mentioned graduate may have to cut back on hours worked so as not to be forced to pay 50% of income to support dropout thereby decreasing available, possible life saving care, to you and your loved ones.

You don't believe that I have the right when approached 2 days ago in a Cutler Ridge parking light at 2 in the afternoon by 2 young men to remove a handgun (which I am licensed and trained to carry) to defuse the situation when one of them pulled a knife from his pocket.

You don't believe that we as a country should help those who ask for our help and are willing to WORK towards a better world. I am sure the women of the Middle East who have been repressed would like to hear your response.

Obama/Biden vs McCain/Palin, what if things were switched around?.....think about it.

Would the country's collective point of view be different?

Ponder the following:
What if the Obamas had paraded five children across the stage, including
a three month old infant and an unwed, pregnant teenage daughter?

What if John McCain was a former president of the Harvard Law Review?

What if Barack Obama finished fifth from the bottom of his graduating class?

What if McCain had only married once, and Obama was a divorcee?

What if Obama was the candidate who left his first wife after a severe
disfiguring car accident, when she no longer measured up to his standards?

What if Obama had met his second wife in a bar and had a long affair while
he was still married?

What if Michelle Obama was the wife who not only became addicted to pain
killers but also acquired them illegally through her charitable organization?

What if Cindy McCain graduated from Harvard?

What if Obama had been a member of the Keating Five?

(The Keating Five were five United States Se nators accused of corruption
in 1989, igniting a major political scandal as part of the larger Savings
and Loan crisis of the late 1980s and early 1990s.)

What if McCain was a charismatic, eloquent speaker?

What if Obama couldn't read from a teleprompter?

What if Obama was the one who had military experience that included
discipline problems and a record of crashing seven planes?

What if Obama was the one who was known to display publicly, on many
occasions, a serious anger management problem?

What if Michelle Obama's family had made their money from beer distribution?

What i f the Obamas had adopted a white child?

You could easily add to this list. If these questions reflected reality,
do you really believe the election numbers would be as close as they are?

This is what racism does. It covers up, rationalizes and minimizes
positive qualities in one candidate and emphasizes negative qualities in
another when there is a color difference.

Experience is more than just education, and Obama comes up lacking.

Attributing people's well considered choices to racism is disingenuous, shallow, and probably more indicative of your own racist leanings than theirs.

Those “What if” comments are ludicrous.

The Republicans will try any tactic at this stage of the election, including disenfrachising validly registered voters; witness the attacks on ACORN. Fortunately the courts are not cooperating with these false accusations.

From the Eye on Miami blog:

"The real threats to the fabric of democracy are the unreasonable barriers that stand in the way of eligible voters casting ballots," the Times concludes. "That would go a long way toward explaining the GOP's frenetic attacks on ACORN."

Finally, today, as reported by Bloomberg, the Obama campaign asked U.S. attorney general Michael Mukasey to "add a probe into allegedly false Republican claims of voter fraud to the investigation into the firings of U.S. attorneys."

In the letter to Mukasey and special prosecutor Nora Dannehy, who is investigating the U.S. attorney firings, Robert Bower, general counsel for Obama for America, says: "The current surge of improper Republican activity must be understood, first and most fundamentally, in context of years of concerted partisan activities to use bogus claims of 'vote fraud' to suppress voting and to influence elections in the eleventh hour by pressuring federal and local officials-including the Justice Department-to investigate and prosecute allegations of fraud where none exists."

Don't worry, we always get the President that we as a nation deserve.

Absolutely! As a Christian, I deserve the very best since my father owns everything. I am glad he guided a candidate through some of the best colleges in the world so he could lead this great nation.
